The Kendall AMD antimicrobial foam dressings are soft and comfortable and can be worn up to 7 days minimizing need and offering flexibility for dressing changes.
- The dressings are compliant with most existing wound care protocols.
- Supports a moist and bactericidal environment.
- Offers a unique construction: A micro-structured, open-cell foam surface that absorbs exudate, vertical wicking action that moves fluids into foam core, a dense core that maximizes retention of exudate.
- Foam absorbs wound fluid: PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanidebinds 0.5%) to foam material and kills bacteria on contact.
- Effective against gram+ and gram- bacteria including: MRSA, VRE, Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter baumannii.
- Proven effective against repeated contamination for up to seven days.
- Limits cross-contamination.
- Have no known resistance.
