Ingredients

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Each SENOKOT® Extra Strength tablet contains 17.2 mg sennosides from natural senna. NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose. Store at 15-25°C

Directions

ADULTS: 1-2 tablets once or twice daily, preferably at bedtime. Per Tablet Dose: 17.2 mg standardized sennosides from natural senna Max Daily Dose: 68.8 mg standardized sennosides CHILDREN AGE 6-12: 1 tablet once or twice daily, preferably at bedtime. Per Tablet Dose: 17.2 mg standardized sennosides from natural senna Max Daily Dose: 34.4 mg standardized sennosides SENOKOT® Extra Strength typically takes effect in 6-12 hrs, it is preferably taken at bedtime to help promote a morning bowel movement when experiencing occasional constipation

Warnings and precautions

As with all laxatives, do not take for more than a week without consulting your physician. Overuse or extended use may cause impairment of the bowel, dependence for bowel function, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Not to be used when abdominal pain, griping (cramps or spasms), fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and/or rectal bleeding are present. Laxatives should not be taken within 2 hours of another medicine because the desired effect of the other medicine may be reduced. Consult a physician before use if pregnant or breastfeeding, have a kidney disorder, are taking heart medication, or any medication that may worsen electrolyte imbalance.
