Additional Notes:
- This medication comes in a bubble gum flavor.
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Measure the medication carefully using the provided dosing cup.
- It is important to follow the dosage instructions carefully and not give your child more than the recommended amount of medication.
- This medication is formulated for nighttime use to help your child sleep. Avoid giving it to your child during the day.
Here are some additional considerations:
- Benylin for Children Cough Nighttime only treats the symptom of cough, not the underlying cause.
- If your child's cough is severe or does not improve within 7 days, consult a doctor.
- This medication contains dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant. Cough suppressants can make it more difficult to cough up mucus, which can worsen a chest infection. If your child has a productive cough (one that brings up mucus), you may want to consider using an expectorant instead.
