Use: Provides temporary relief from multiple cold and fever symptoms at night for children aged 6-11 years.

Active Ingredients (per 5ml teaspoon):

  • Acetaminophen (160mg) - pain reliever and fever reducer
  • Dextromethorphan HBr (10mg) - cough suppressant
  • Diphenhydramine Citrate (1mg) - antihistamine (for runny nose, sneezing, and drowsiness)

Benefits:

  • Helps children sleep by relieving symptoms like fever, aches, cough, and congestion (depending on the specific product variation).
  • May help with runny nose and sneezing.

Dosage:

  • Children 6-8 years: 5 mL (1 teaspoon) every 4-6 hours as needed. Max 2 doses (10 mL) in 24 hours.
  • Children 9-11 years: 10 mL (2 teaspoons) every 4-6 hours as needed. Max 4 doses (40 mL) in 24 hours.

Important Warnings:

  • Not for children under 6 years.
  • Follow dosage instructions carefully. Do not exceed recommended amounts.
  • Do not give for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
  • Liver warning: Acetaminophen overdose can cause serious liver damage.
  • Drowsiness warning: This medication may cause drowsiness due to the antihistamine. Avoid driving or machinery use after taking it.

  • Liver disease, kidney disease, stomach problems, sleep apnea, trouble urinating, or asthma.

Consult a doctor if:

  • Cough lasts over 7 days, recurs, or comes with fever, rash, or persistent headache.
  • Child has a chronic cough from smoking, asthma, or emphysema.
